On February 7, 2026, Ampalaya Monologues’ Batch X took the stage for their recital show, Ginisagisang Saklap, marking a major moment in Season X, the platform’s 10th anniversary celebration. The recital was the culmination of free workshops led by Mark Ghosn, part of the exclusive Art of the Monologue training program for finalists selected from the October auditions.

Batch X was formed as part of Ampalaya Monologues’ Season X, and their diversity reflected the community the platform continues to build. The batch included working professionals, students, and fresh graduates, all balancing school, work, and rehearsals while learning how to shape real experiences into monologues. Their different backgrounds brought different flavors to the night, turning the recital into a shared table of stories.

New Voices on the Ampalaya Monologues Stage
The performers who brought Ginisagisang Saklap to life were Abigail Reynes, Lucky Charles, Prin Poblete, Nario, Miggy Atienza, Marie Grace Dino, Hannah Salvan, Rob Uriarte and Jin Mikado. Each performer shared a distinct piece, mixing vulnerability, humor, and raw honesty, hallmarks of the Ampalaya Monologues style.
Here’s what some of the Batch X performers had to say about their journey:
“I would say that the overall experience from auditions to the recital was fulfilling. It was a journey that taught me patience and vulnerability different from other companies or theater groups I’m in because Ampalaya Monologues is a more intimate set-up. The auditions were full of nerves and hope, rehearsals were filled with small breakthroughs and quiet frustrations, and the recital was the moment everything finally made sense. Standing there, it solidified my belief that the process mattered just as much as the performance.” – Abigail Reynes.
– Jin Mikado
Audience Reactions
Audience members felt the impact of the new voices. One viewer shared:
“Ang saya ng show! I laughed, I got touched, and parang bawat kwento relatable talaga.”

That mix of laughter, quiet moments, and shared emotion is what Ampalaya Monologues has built its community around.
What’s Next for Batch X
Batch X’s journey is just beginning. A few performers from the batch will be selected to join upcoming Ampalaya Monologues shows and become regular performers in Season X. Their recital served as both a showcase and a stepping stone into the collective’s main stage.
